Lake Madison Development Association
Call to OrderPresident Ralph Wagoner called a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Lake Madison Development Association (LMDA) at 7:00 PM May 24, 2007. The following directors were in attendance: Steve Snyder, Dan Carlson, Jeff Landeen, Pete Hoidal, Karen Dunham, Cliff Nock, Jim Hunter, Curt Nelson, Ralph Wagoner, Michelle Anderson, Martin Jarrett, Gene Moser, Connie Sinclair, Jeff Nelson, Karen Dossett, Robert Todd, Carol DeSchepper, Mike Swiden, Jeff Willadsen. Guests were: Millie Moser, Brandon Gust, Diana Nelson, Mike Anderson, Joyce Nock, Jeanne Fromm. Everyone introduced themselves. Secretary’s ReportThe February 2007 minutes were sent out with the Notice of Meeting. Director Hoidal moved to accept the LMDA Meeting Minutes as presented. Director Hunter seconded. Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report Presented by Millie and Gene Moser. Report attached. Director Snyder moved to approve the Treasures Report. Director Nelson seconded. Motion carried. Game Warden, Brandon Gust reported that: a. There are changes on dock variances this yearb. Reminder to make sure you have everything in the boat that is called forc. Committee Reports Storm Warning Sirens: Curt Nelson reported that Federal money is elsewhere right now.Robert Todd, Long Range Water Quality Planning Committee Chairman introduced Jean Fromm, Bacteria Research Project coordinator from East Dakota Water Development District. She explained that the four lakes are working together. She also explained the testing for water quality on the four lakes in the area. Robert stated that there is another Water Quality monthly meeting on June 7, 2007 at the Public Library. The rebate program for non-phosphorous fertilizer is making progress. There will be more work on educating the public on Water Quality. Membership Report: Karen Dunham reported 502 membersips. A second notice for unpaid dues will be sent out. New Business After looking at the Articles of Incorporation the Board agreed that Long Lake should be included in the Association. The Annual Meeting will be held at the Hillside on Sunday August 5, 2007. The Prize Committee this year will be Karen Dunham, Scott Scofield and Curt Nelson. Notices will go out to the membership two weeks before the picnic. Jeff Landeen will take care of the podium and speakers. Please let Ralph Wagoner know of any nominees to be presented for Board Directors. Adjournment Director Nelson motioned to adjourn at 8:25 P.M. as there was no further business. Director Hoidal seconded. Motion carried.
